Our goal is to make key documents available to members as part of enabling members to fully understand and be able to participate in the work of the non-profit.
Property Map - Shows the property that the non-profit stewards and is based on Tax Map which also shows surrounding neighbors such as the YMCA and Cornell Plantation property.
Bylaws - This is the governing document for this non-profit for stewarding the land that surrounds the three village neighborhoods (TREE, FROG, SONG and the Village Association land These four entities taken together are commonly referred to as EcoVillage at Ithaca. The majority of individuals who make up the membership of EVI, Inc. are also residents of one of the three neighborhoods. However, membership is open to anyone who is willing to agree to the requirements of membership as documented in the Members tab of this site. If someone is a resident it is not a requirement nor a right to participate as a member of EVI, Inc. It is a free choice on the part of every individual resident.
EVII Leases and Deeds - Conservation Deed with Finger Lakes Land Trust, Groundswell Lease, West Haven Farm Lease, Radio Station Lease
The non-profit has leased land to various organizations that in turn have developed it consistent with the non-profits purpose. A key principle of the non-profit is fostering and modeling local food and farming as represented by the three farms.
An essential EVI, Inc. committee of volunteer members is the Land Partnership committee that looks at various opportunities proposed for the land and makes recommendations to the Board for potential action.
A second vital EVI, Inc. committee of volunteer members is the Built Environment committee recommended groundbreaking projects to the Boared and subsequently worked with the developers to guide the development of the agreed to 'build' projects on the land either leased or sold to the development team. This included all three neighborhoods, the water tower, and the water system improvements.
2005-2010 Projects - This is a collection of project documents. We anticipate adding additional documents and for viewing electronically.
